This year we have seen a lot of volume on the catwalks and Chanel’s Winter 08/09 did not shy away from experimenting with it.

Volume is great but it’s all about where you put it. The most popular and most wearable area to have volume on your garment would probably be your sleeves and we have seen this trend filter down into the high street on long sleeve shirts and puffy sleeved t-shirts. Also the balloon dress has been a huge trend but one that I think will fade out next year but it’s great for creating that sweet but sultry look when teamed up with a pair of heels. The looks above from Chanel are certainly edgy but there is a level of sophistication that the right women could easily pull off.
